His work has been recognised with industry honours including a Signal Award and a Broadcast Digital Award. Simon is a vastly experienced executive producer and documentary maker who’s overseen some of the biggest radio shows and podcasts of the past two decades. A brilliantly creative mind, he’s spent 24 years at the BBC, where he produced shows like Loose Ends, You and Yours, Desert Island Discs, Excess Baggage and Saturday Live, and won multiple Sony Awards. In 2011, he became deputy head of Sport for 5 live, working on every major sporting moment across a decade, including multiple World Cups and Olympic and Paralympic Games - and running the BBC’s Paralympic coverage in Rio 2016. In 2019 he co-founded one of Europe’s leading podcast production companies where he won countless awards, including an ARIA, a New York Festivals Award, a Webby and a SJA.
